ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
Currently accepting new counselling clients; accepting new assessment clients for October 2026.
Hi, I’m Courtney! I am a Doctoral Resident and Registered Provisional Psychologist who provides psychological assessments and counselling for children, teens, and young adults.
I am currently completing the final year of my doctoral degree at the University of Calgary, where I earned my Master of Science in Educational Psychology with a specialization in School and Applied Child Psychology. Throughout my graduate training, I have gained extensive experience in psychological assessment and intervention in both school and private practice settings.
I have a particular passion for assessment and enjoy helping people better understand themselves, including how they learn, process information, experience the world, and where their individual strengths lie. I have formal training and experience providing psychoeducational, ADHD, autism, gifted, and mental health assessments. My approach to assessment is collaborative and strengths-based, with a focus on providing meaningful, individualized recommendations that help clients and families understand what can support learning, development, mental health, and everyday life.
In counselling, I work collaboratively with each person to understand what matters to them and what they hope to gain from therapy. My approach is strengths-based and client-directed, and I integrate Play Therapy into my work. I have experience supporting anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioural concerns, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, developmental differences, and a variety of mental health concerns. I aim to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves while building on their strengths and finding tools that work for them.
Inclusivity, kindness, and collaboration are at the heart of how I work. I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling understood, whether we are working together through counselling or assessment. My goal is to help each person feel seen and supported while developing a better understanding of themselves and what they need to thrive.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my lovable Golden Retriever, Doug, and my almost horse-sized German Shepherd, Bear.
