Taking You Beyond Trauma

EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy helps children, youth, and adults understand how past experiences shape the present. It’s a powerful tool for healing trauma and moving forward with greater clarity and ease.

WHAT IS IT?

Integrative & Innovative Therapy

EMDR therapy is an integrative, evidence-based therapy approach that uses our understanding of the brain and memory networks to safely move past your trauma. This therapy uses dual attention stimulation to help lessen the power of emotionally charged memories that can come with past traumatic events. EMDR helps the brain to process these memories and resume its natural healing process.

EMDR therapy is designed to heal and resolve unprocessed troubling, scary, frightening, or traumatic memories that may get stuck in the minds of children, youth, and adults. Since these memories can influence how you think, feel, act, and relate to others, the goal is to provide you with the adaptive skills you need to deal with and process these scary memories and reframe how you think and feel about them.

Dr. Crystal Dittrick at CARE Psychology is a Certified EMDR Therapist™. Kristina Jelinkova is a Basic EMDR trained therapist and working on her certification, under the supervision of Dr. Crystal.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps reprocess traumatic memories without needing to talk through every detail. It's structured, effective, and backed by neuroscience.

  • People dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, childhood trauma, or distressing events that still feel “stuck” in their nervous system.

  • We will assess your readiness and determine if EMDR fits your current needs and capacity. This style of therapy is a process that your psychologist will support you on. Book your consultation call and we will determine if it is the right approach for you.

  • The standard fee is $235 for a 50–60 minute session.
For extended sessions (typically 80–90 minutes), the fee is $352.50.

Your psychologist may recommend extended EMDR processing sessions when clinically appropriate. These are billed at $235 per hour, with any additional time calculated in 15-minute increments.
